Egypt-On Public Service Day, Egypt’s Sisi praises efforts of state’s employees

On World Public Service Day, President Abdel Fattah El Sisi wished all the state’s public servants a good day, praising their efforts in developing their country.

President Sisi’s wishes were voiced in an article published in the journal of the Administrative Development issued by the Central Agency for Organization and Administration (CAOA).

“This day represents an occasion to recall the human and moral values of work, diligence, and love of one’s country, the basis of public service,” President Sisi wrote.

“After eight years of developing the administrative reform plan, we can stand and look at the fruits of what we have done. We have accomplished a lot, and we also have a lot to do. We dream that the state’s administrative apparatus will contribute to the process of development and progress for our country in a manner that befits us, our values and our civilization,” the President continued.

“Moving to the new administrative capital is permission of entering a new phase for the State’s administrative system that establishes a new republic dominated by justice, governance, and equal opportunities, President Sisi added.

The number of public servants declined to 760,700 individuals in 2020 compared to 791,200 individuals in 2019, with a decrease of 3.9 percent, said the state-owned Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS) in March 2021.
